The Sustainability Store Star Award is our highest achievement award for
leadership in environmental and social responsibility. When you see a
Star Award, you know the company or organization has participated in our
rating process and is a leader in promoting or practicing sustainability.
A Star Award demonstrates exemplary policies regarding product sourcing
and commitment to sustainable business practices. For a company or
organization to achieve a Star Award, they must must
complete the Sustainability Store Sustainability
Disclosure Statement. We carefully review the Disclosure Statement to
determine if the Star Award requirements have been met. In addition to
meeting the requirements in the Disclosure Statement, the applicant must
also provide a product or service that is of interest and relevance to
Sustainability Store visitors, have employees and be in existence for more
than one year.
The Sustainability Store World Award conveys exemplary progress in
environmental and social responsibility. When you see a World Award, you
know the company or organization is making great strides in environmental
and social responsibility and they are on their way to becoming a Star
Award winner. For a company or organization to achieve a World Award,
they must
complete the Sustainability Store Sustainability Disclosure Statement.
Those not qualifying for Star Award status are automatically considered
for the World Award. World Award recipients must show exemplary progress
toward reaching Star Award status and must certify that they intend to
meet all such requirements within three years. In addition to
meeting the requirements in the Disclosure Statement, the applicant must
also provide a product or service that is of interest and relevance to
Sustainability Store visitors, have employees and be in existence for more
than one year.
Regular Listings
Regular listings are those companies or organizations that do not meet
Star Award or World Award status but still provide a product or service
that contributes to a sustainable world or are deemed to be of interest to
Sustainability Store visitors. These listings will appear below Star Award
and World Award listings in all category and search lists. Regular
listings are maintained or dropped at the sole the discretion of
Sustainability Store.
