Bullfrog Films is the oldest and largest publisher of videos and films about the environment in the United States. Their website features over 700 different films complete with trailers. Their films cover a broad range of environmental topics including ecology, energy, agriculture, globalization, climate change, sustainability, indigenous peoples, and science. Most of the films are documentaries, personal essays, animations, or dramas and they all point the way to a new paradigm for living happily, healthily and sustainably. Bulfrog Films works with the National Film Board of Canada, CBC, Television Trust for the Environment, BBC-TV, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and independent producers from around the world.

The Environmental Working Group a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment. YES! Magazine offers a refreshing look at the biggest problems of our times by presenting them in terms of solutions. Magazine is not driven by advertising revenue. You can read YES! Magazine stories every day online and they also print a quarterly hard copy magazine that is printed on 100% post-consumer chlorine-free recycled paper.

Worldwatch Institute

Worldwatch Institute is an independent research institute devoted to global environmental concerns, Worldwatch Institute is well known for its fact-based analysis and innovative solutions to environmental problems that emphasize a blend of government leadership, private sector involvement, and citizen action. Worldwatch Institute is dedicated to creating an environmentally sustainable and socially just society. TreeHugger is a media outlet dedicated reporting on sustainability and leading it into the mainstream. They strive to be a one-stop destination for green news, solutions, and product information. TreeHugger publishes an online blog and newsletter and they regularly update their Twitter and Facebook pages. The web magazine is dedicated to everything that has a modern aesthetic yet is environmentally responsible, with an emphasis on breaking news, product reviews, and recommendations. Topics covered generally fall into the categories of sustainable
design, living, science, technology, transportation, and business.

Orion Magazine

Orion Magazine was first published in 1982. The publication is based on the conviction that humans are morally responsible for the world in which we live and that the individual comes to sense this responsibility as he or she develops a personal bond with nature. The bimonthly magazine covers a wide range of environmental and cultural topics including ecology, science, food, agriculture, justice, and visual art. Orion has a full-time staff of ten. With no advertising, the publication is supported by subscriptions and donations. Back issues of the magazine are available for purchase and the current issue and many stories are available to read online.

Mother Jones - News

Mother Jones is a reader-supported nonprofit news organization and leader in providing independent and investigative reporting on everything from politics and climate change to education and food. Their website is full of excellent stories that are well researched and intelligently written. You can also access their content by subscribing to their hard copy magazine, listening to their podcast, or following on Facebook or Twitter. Headquartered in San Francisco, Mother Jones also has offices in Washington, DC, and New York City. Mother Jones doesn't answer to stockholders, a corporate parent company, or a deep-pocketed donor. Instead, they are accountable to and funded by their readers.

EarthTalk - Environmental News

EarthTalk is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help people understand complex environmental issues, promote sustainability, and live greener lives. They produce a weekly educational column, syndicated to 1700 media outlets across North America with a combined readership of over 80 million people. EarthTalk picks the most relevant and timely questions received from readers and responds with 500-word answers that are distributed to their syndication partners for publication in newspapers, magazines and websites. The EarthTalk website serves as the online home of the column and is full of interesting and informative articles about sustainability.

New Society Publishers

New Society Publishers is an activist publisher focused on sustainable building, homesteading, climate change, environment, and renewable energy.
